This CD ROM was developed for the company Smith’s Detection. The CD is a training CD ROM for one of their products called the Sabre 4000, which is used to detect explosives, narcotics, and chemical weapons.
A user first signs up with a username and must complete all sections of the training. Upon completing the training the user is given a password which unlocks the menu so the user can essentially revisit any section the next time they load the CD. After finishing the training, the user takes a quiz to obtain their Sabre 4000 Certification. The application was predominantly developed in Flash and resides in Director. Design by Riordon Design.
User had to watch each video to unlock the following section in the left menu.
Some interactive features were present in the application providing more information for the user.
User has to take a test at the end of all the training videos to earn the certificate.
Extensive glossary is accessible at all times during the training.
